Our History

1977
Founded by the visionary Takahiro Yamamoto in Tokyo, Japan.
Tokyo Asset Management started in banking and credit facilities for Steel Manufacturers.

1983
Current Chairman Kaito Yashida joined as Trading Manager.
Mr. Yashida grew the business into the futures market.

1989
Tokyo Asset Management signs with the Bank of Japan to start offering investment plans, fixed deposit accounts, and mutual funds.

1995
Tokyo Asset Management opens office in the center of London, United Kingdom .
We were one of the first investment banks to expand outside Japan.

2002
Tokyo Asset Management has started accepting international clients.
Within the first 2 years, we have 5,000 customers all over the world.

2008
Tokyo Asset Management receives approval to start Crypto Currency and Stable Coin Trading in Japan.
Reaches the milestone of $2 Billion USD in investments from over 10,000 customers all over the world.

2018
Tokyo Asset Management opens first Digital Currency and Blockchain Investment Platform in Japan.
Currently Tokyo Asset Management is the largest digital investment platform in Japan and many parts of Asia and Europe.

2022
Tokyo Asset Management collaboration with Oracle (US) to build and launch one of the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) trading platforms which receives recognition from foreign investors.

Takahiro Yamamoto
Founder
Takahiro Yamamoto is the visionary Founder of TAM. He holds a Master’s in Finance from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Takahiro’s extensive experience in both traditional finance and emerging technologies laid the foundation for the firm’s global success and continued innovation.

Kaito Ishida
Chairman
As Chairman of TAM, Kaito Ishida is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Keio University and an MBA from Stanford University. Kaito’s background in investment banking and leadership within global markets guides TAM's operations and growth.

Haruto Nakamura Managing Director
Haruto Nakamura oversees the day-to-day operations of TAM. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Waseda University and a Master’s in Finance from London Business School. With deep expertise in portfolio management and market analysis, Haruto is key to executing the firm’s investment strategies.

Olivia Hughes
Chief Investment Officer
Olivia Hughes leads TAM's investment strategies, ensuring that the firm’s portfolio aligns with clients’ financial goals. She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Master’s in International Finance from Columbia University. Olivia’s expertise spans global equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.

Itsuki Takahasi
Global Markets Director
Takahashi manages TAM’s global trading strategies across various asset classes. He holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Toronto and an MBA from INSEAD. Takahashi brings expertise in international market trends and cross-border trading strategies to help TAM navigate complex global economies.

Himari Tanaka Director of Business Development
Himari Tanaka leads TAM’s efforts to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and partnerships. She holds a Bachelor’s in International Business from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton). Himari’s strategic vision drives TAM’s growth and expansion into emerging markets

Rajesh Patel is responsible for overseeing TAM’s financial operations and corporate strategy. Liam O'Connor Head of Client Relations
Liam O'Connor is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with TAM’s high-net-worth clients and institutional partners. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from University College Dublin and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. Liam’s focus is on providing tailored financial solutions and maintaining strong, long-term client trust.
